The trick is to not move your mouse, just stay in the same spot and let the bricks come to you.

True, and the best way to get the highest score is to get rid of the colors that are smallest in number first. If you get rid of a lot of them all at once you really rack up the points. So it's best to leave just 2 colors and then take them out all at once. Sometimes if you get it down to 1 color it will give you a whole new one, sometimes it won't.
